Coral Plurial AI art video is an experimental motion piece exploring antique art poses, when humans come back to the primitive. Created by Dothy Moroders, it imagines bodies dissolving into coral-like, plural forms.

Concept
The project starts from classical statuary and ancient art postures: the contrapposto, the reclining figure, the frozen gesture. Using generative AI, these references are pushed into a fluid, painterly space where flesh, stone and coral blur together. The result sits between still image and moving picture, a canvas that breathes rather than stays frozen.

Themes
Coral is a living structure built from many organisms, which is the idea behind the word « plurial ». The piece questions individuality, the body as a collective form, and what remains of human identity when images are no longer photographed but grown. It also asks what AI inherits from art history, and what it reinvents.

Process
Midjourney for the still frames, Runway Gen-2 for the animation, final compositing and color grading in After Effects.

Each sequence was generated, selected and refined in a hybrid workflow, where AI produces the raw material and VFX and motion design shape the final rhythm, texture and light.
