The film
Ice Foxes follows a fox through a shifting digital landscape, where animal forms, mineral structures and luminous matter emerge and dissolve. Its transformations respond to the hard, relentless pulse of Substencia's track.
The film explores the tension between an individual presence and the vastness around it. The fox becomes both a distinct figure and part of the world it moves through, connecting body, matter and space.
From sound to image
Substencia created the music; I created the entire visual world. From visual direction to editing, motion design and VFX, I developed the film as a continuous dialogue between sound and image.
Created and composited with Smode alongside traditional VFX, the imagery combines real-time graphics with layered transformations. Movement, texture and transitions translate the track's energy into a visual journey.
Screening · Teorema Kino I
Ice Foxes was screened at La Cinètika in Barcelona as part of an event organised by Teorema and Diffuse Reality Records, bringing the film into a shared cinema setting.
